A teen who is eligible for adoption may react negatively toward an adoptive family if they fear they will not be able to maintain connections with their birth families and their past. Created by the Family Connections Project through Adoptions Unlimited, Inc., this course will help child welfare professionals:

  • Recognize the benefits to older youth in care of maintaining connections with their birth family. 
  • Explain to youth that they can be adopted and still maintain contact with birth family members.

Credit hours: There are no credit hours and Certificates of Completion are not available for this course.
