DNA Testing Helps Korean Adoptees Reconnect

In our recent webinar, International Search & Reunion: It’s a Small World After All, we discussed how internationally adopted children can begin their search for information about their past and their birth families.

In this discussion, our panelists explored many avenues for finding birth families, such as DNA testing and homeland trips.

Now, WBEZ’s program The World, has profiled the experience of Korean adoptees in their journey to reconnect with their birth families, using genetic testing kits from a California-based company, 23andMe.

You can read, and listen, to the story here.
